Comments: I saw Dr. Gasbarro for a lump in my hand that was super painful but didn't show up on X-rays. Dr. Gasparro ordered an MRI and, sure enough, the mass was located between my fingers but in a nerve. Dr. Gasbarro offered me a few options (surgical and non surgical), explaining the ramifications of each option, and I chose surgery. Dr. Gasparro has a dry wit, doesn't patronize, and gives a great analysis to a patient, which I very much appreciate. He called tme he day after the surgery, yes, he called, not just one of his staff (who themselves are wonderful, yeah, I mean Taylor and Kyle), and thoughtfully asked about my post-surgical pain the night of the procedure and how I was doing. At the follow up visit to remove the stiches, Dr. Gasbarro demonstrated an abundance of holistic concern, not just about my hand and wound healing but about any other concerns that touched on orthopedic issues. He treated me with kindness and respect, what's not to love? Oh, and he absolutely does not get flustered or put out if you bring someone with you like I've sensed from other medical professionals. He is so welcoming that my mom adores him! He is a fantastic addition to the Mercy Orthopedic team!
